Complementing his consulting work, Brannack McLain possesses extensive operational experience with both startups and venture capital firms.

Brannack most recently led expansion for SOCALI Manufacturing, Inc. (“Cann”), a cannabis-infused tonic manufacturer, as Senior Director of New Markets and Regulatory Affairs. During his tenure with Cann, he more than doubled the Company's addressable market size, expanding the brand to New York, Arizona, and Canada. He also served on the Boards of the California Cannabis Manufacturers Association (CCMA) and Cannabis Beverage Association (CBA), leading the CBA's lobbying efforts as Chair of the Governmental Affairs Committee.

Prior to Cann, Brannack served as Head of Platform for Struck Capital, an early-stage VC firm. He consulted regularly with founders and C-level executives of over 20 portfolio companies on strategy and operations in all domains, including fundraising, marketing, and go-to-market. He also implemented new tech platforms and designed systems and processes for Struck Capital's operations, from deal flow management to investor relations, and created all of the Firm's centralized resources supporting portfolio companies.

Prior to working for Cann and Struck Capital, Brannack rebranded and relaunched The Montgomery Summit, formerly known as the "The Montgomery Technology Conference", a leading technology investment conference originally sponsored by tech investment bank Montgomery & Co. Brannack developed a new business model, corporate structure, and marketing strategy for the conference, transforming it into a fundraising and deal flow tool for venture capital firm March Capital Partners. Brannack’s career began as the Co-Founder and President of the online marketing company, Identi (acquired by Spylight).

Brannack received an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management with majors in Finance and Managing Organizations, and graduated cum laude from Yale University, where he received a B.A., cum laude, in Ethics, Politics, and Economics.
